On Tuesday, with the signals from the global market, the Indian stock market started with a rise. Sensex and Nifty started on record high levels. The Sensex increased 34 points to 34,878 points. The Nifty opened at 10,761 points with a 20-point jump. The sectoral index is showing weakness in banking and finance services in the initial business. On the other hand, IT, FMCG, metal, pharma and realty indices are trading with increase.
Weakness in small-cap, mid-cap stocks
- In the early business, the ups and downs in mid-cap and small-caps are being seen. BSE's mid-cap index has gained 0.09 percent. Among the mid-cap stocks, GMR Infra, M & M Finance, RCom, GSK Consumer, ABB, Ajanta Pharma have gained 0.84-3.17%.
- At the same time, BSE's Smallcaps Index is flat. In smallcap stocks Prism Cement, Deccan Gold Mine, Prakash, Gammon Infra have increased by 5.41-10.83%.
Asian markets
- On the positive side of positive global signals, the Asian markets are trading on a positive note Tuesday. Singapore's SGX Nifty index is trading at 10,763 points, with a strength of 0.12 percent. Japan's market Nikkei is trading 130 points higher at 23,845 points.
